Progeria

I chose Progeria for the subject of my presentation which I am giving to the class this Thursday.

For those who do not know what progeria is, keep on reading, for those who do know what progeria is you know the suffering the children live with every single day of their lives.

Progeria causes the rapid acceleration of the aging process, in many case by up to 8 times the normal rate of aging. Many of the children who suffer from progeria die at an average age of 13. Progeria has an equal chance of occuring in both sexes in any race. The cause.... I remember reading a good analogy here it is; think of our DNA as a massive alphabet with like 4 billion letters which are A, C, G and T. It took scientist four years to find the fault but this is what they found. Where there was meant to be a C there was a T.

what ever you believe in, if you believe in anything at all.

Do you think that a life should be given to a disorder like this.

The sad thing is that all of these kids, are really just kids living inside a dieing body.
